You're not alone... I don't see the percentage in drawing out anything on background TV's/monitors. You may have noticed, but the few times I've had TV's and monitors in the background of my strips I just fill the screens with random shades of very pale purples, greens, and blues. Is it efficiency, or is it laziness? I'll let the readers make the call... 😉
