I've found the most successful (and memorable) gaming moments didn't come from an elaborate plan, but rather a spark of inspiration during the flow of events. Like sneaking up on two rival drow parties having a tense negotiation, and using a stolen drow hand crossbow to spark off an epic drow gang war. By the time they were done with each other, there wasn't enough of them left to even bother fireballing the rest... 😈
