I don't plan on getting one right now, and I'm okay with taking a wait-and-see approach. I appreciate the makers had no choice but to accelerate the timeline for the vaccines to be of any use, and they tested as rigorously as possible given that timeline. But still, that comes some added uncertainty about side effects.

Given that we now know the virus is far less a problem for most people and have a really good idea of whose most and least at risk (AND have a much better handle on treating it), I don't see the vaccines as a priority for my situation. I'm in good health with no health conditions, and my lifestyle doesn't involve interacting with others outside of family much at all. If I was in poor health or if the virus was substantially more debilitating/deadly, I'd probably accept that small added uncertainty and take the vaccine. It's just simple risk management, and I appreciate others have different situations and respect the decision of anyone who chooses a different path.
