If you ever wondered what kind of car was most common in Mongolia, you probably wouldn't think "Prius". Yet it is, and they are EVERYWHERE here. It's a result of a combination of an import tax exemption for hybrid vehicles and all the used Prius cars in Japan that are too old to be still desirable in Japan. Some of them sell for just a few thousand bucks, so a lot of Mongolians who couldn't afford a car now can.

The downside is there's now more cars than ever crowding the already over-crowded streets, and the Prius drivers are just as crazy as the other Mongolian drivers yet often times less skilled (less experience driving here). So I've developed an irrational, yet deep-seated, dislike for Prius' and those that drive them. 😏
