I suspect Kanye is a victim of that to an extent. But even so, every once in a while I hear a nugget of wisdom flying out of his mouth, only to be dismissed as "oh, that crazy Kanye!". Quite often society gets propelled forward by those considered borderline crazy and defying conventional wisdom. Not saying he is or isn't one of those, but I do know that genius and "crazy" are often close bedfellows so I won't dismiss him out of hand.
