I was still little when I saw this cartoon in the mid-80's, but I remember it well. They even aired the series on one of the cartoon channels some years back, and I re-watched them with my little son. In retrospect I liked the dark premise behind it... it offered a little more than the standard kid fare. Maybe one of the reasons I'm a little partial to watching 'Adventure Time' when the kids have it on...
