An old girlfriend said she used to watch Red Sonja a lot with her sisters as a kid, because it was one of the few movies (especially in fantasy) up to that point that portrayed a strong female. As cheesy as the movie was, she had a good point. When the "Xena" show became a thing you can bet she went nuts over it... 😏
