The weird thing is I probably learned as much or more German words here in Mongolia than I did while on vacation in Germany. A lot of imported food here that I buy comes from Germany, so I absorbed a number of food-related German words as a side-effect. Still can't really hold a conversation, but at least I could probably read most restaurant menus. 😉
