I almost never gasp for air when I am running. For me it is almost always an overheating factor and when I slow down I can feel my heartbeat in my ears. Maybe something is wrong with me. My heart is clearly working very hard, but my lungs aren't demanding more oxygen.

I've heard some stuff about breathing through your nose but I don't really understand how that could make any difference since all of our sinuses connect before getting to the lungs anyway.
