The sun slowly rose, and many of the townspeople were still enjoying the music, the sunrise, and watching the band pack up to leave. Even though no one had slept, everyone seemed active. Lucas returned to the car, and Richard followed him. The two of them laughed and enjoyed a good cup of coffee. Minutes later, the other band members arrived with their tools, along with several townspeople, so they could begin working. Some lifted the car, others searched for screws and tools, while a few residents watched and gave instructions.
The old man with the old guitar simply watched until, after a few minutes, Lucas announced, "It's ready." They had finished, and several townspeople began saying goodbye to the band. Everyone hugged, laughed, and took pictures of the moment. The best part was when the old man slowly got up and walked over to them. "Goodbyes have never been my thing," he said, "and don't stop playing that song!" before giving them a big hug.
The band started getting into the car. Tomas, however, stayed back for a few seconds, looking at his camera, where everyone was watching him, since he had recorded something completely different and new. In one of the videos, the children appeared in front of the campfire, the families, the musicians, the old man, and finally all the people singing around the fire, as well as moments where the band played and performed that very special melody from that town.
Tomas was very happy with what he had managed to capture. Each video of the concerts, the story of the town, the old man, that song no one knew, and everyone singing it together—you can edit it and make a short documentary. Michelle was happy with that idea, and Lucas smiled. So, as they drove down the road, a new idea was emerging with each video: perhaps the music they had found in that small town could become more than just a song; it could become the most important story the band had ever told.
