The hours in Madrid seemed to fly by faster than the band expected; after several hours of rehearsal, everyone was tired, yet they kept going through the city streets to ensure everything was ready. Michelle gazed out the window, looking a bit nervous. Lucas remarked, "Good. That means you care." Michelle smiled, and another band member spoke up: "If anyone messes up, let it be me—I’m the one who’s actually nervous." Those words made everyone laugh, just like the tight-knit band they were.
Finally, they arrived at the hotel, where the producer was waiting at the entrance. "Time to sleep. You have to get up very early tomorrow; there’s no rehearsal—tomorrow is the day to show what you’ve done and what you’ve learned." His words silenced the group; they simply exchanged glances, then checked messages from their families and organized their gear to be ready for the next day. Above all, the question on everyone's mind was: "Are you ready for tomorrow?"
In the morning, the whole band gathered at the entrance, where the producer was ready to get started; a van was waiting to take them to their destination, and everyone knew they were heading toward what could become one of the most important moments of their lives. As they moved along, they noticed crowds of people walking toward the same place the band was headed, and in the distance, the stage came into view. Lucas remarked, "We saw it in a photo yesterday, and today we're standing right in front of that massive venue"; they all gazed at it in silence.
Upon arrival, they were warmly welcomed by a crowd of crew members who immediately asked, "Are you Band 17?" They confirmed it and made their way to the stage, though it was completely empty at the time. The producer promptly called for a soundcheck, so each member took their place; after a few moments, they began to play, picturing the audience that would be standing before them in just a few hours. When they finished, they stepped down; the countdown had begun, and there was no turning back.
