Every first Saturday of the month there is a ceremony of offering dedicated to Buddhist monks. This time I was willing to participate in this event because I’ve not been back to Thailand for a year and a half.
The ceremony started at 9:30 AM. The temple had already arranged the food, offering, flowers and everything else. You just prepare whatever amount of money you want for donation.
When the monks came, the ceremony started and then did the ceremonial pouring of water, dedicating merit to the mother, father, relatives, friends, and all living being who have passed away. They bring water to pour at the root of a big tree. Thais believe that it will bring merit to them.
