Data is just one piece of the puzzle. Also, data does not create itself, people do. So it all boils down to people using the blockchain. The more the better. You also have to consider the quality of the data which can be improved significantly by having more people interact with the system. So it all boils down to people using hive, and that can only happen with more interest usecases, this is where dapps comes into to the picture.
