Hive is not a product so what the hell are you going to market?

I disagree. Hive is a product. It is a feeless and scalable blockchain with censorship resistance properties. It has a decentralised funding mechanism for developers. There are an array of wonderful dapps in the hive ecosystem.

These are marketable points

Can people get their news off Hive? How about information? Entertainment? Music? What services are offered?

You can create incentives to get people active. You just have to have decent user experience and a marketing plans that pulls people in, so it doesn't look like a ghost town when they arrive here. Go back to the basics, get dapps onboard, work towards revamping a dying community/network and don't give up on the idea after 2-4months. Or you end up like steem/EOS/LTC
