Humans are prone to making fear based decisions more so than ever and I expected the species to be smarter than to fall for this shit.
As someone who has studied/observed media/information and propaganda combined with consumer reaction, from all 'sides' and every direction, I can say confidently the 'fear' element comes more from the anti vax side. The pro vax side relies more on monkey see monkey do. Song and dance in social media for instance, or the laugh track/laugh now prompt above Stephen Colbert's head whenever he tries, and fails, to be funny.
The division is easy to see. Both sides only want to hear their side, and put words in the mouths of the other side, then react to those imaginary words. They don't know what the other side actually thinks since they're both conditioned to write off any and all info coming from the opposing team, yet still act like they know what the other is thinking. The isolation is crucial in maintaining this divide and social media has been engineered to help establish the walls.
The censorship in media is far too obvious to be called censorship. The message, for or against, is everywhere. Far easier to be exposed to information against it all, than for it. Impossible to scroll through a personal facebook feed and not see people outraged. Yes Twitter has been in the news again lately for shutting down accounts, but is Twitter, God? I don't understand why people are so outraged any time twitter makes a decision. That service isn't required in order to get information out and it would be nice if folks would just turn their back on it instead of worshipping it.
I've always sensed irony any time someone claims 'the truth' is being hidden. If there's a car accident, everyone drives by slow and gawks. Same thing happens when someone gets 'deplatformed' on a place like Twitter for instance. People find out instantly, because Twitter isn't the only place to get information, and those people can and do spend some time then looking into that individual and what they've been saying. For every action, there is an equal and opposite reaction.
Some people can and will research. Most will simply consume whichever side tells them what they want to hear. Both sides do that and do it well.
I think the majority is somewhere down the middle, not really saying much. For me personally, I've seen no need to take a side or listen to anyone on this, regardless. No need to take a position either. From my observations, those the loudest, on either side, have become obsessed with this shit to the point of mental illness. And if you're in the middle somewhere, you can't talk to anyone because their heads are so warped they can't even understand this concept of there even being a middle ground. Modern politics in general and the delivery, which came into play as a sickness before all this madness, is mainly responsible for this divided mind syndrome society seems to be suffering from.
