Even if we don't all see eye-to-eye, that's fine, and to be expected, respected. The recent bout of madness striking this community is only pushing folks who do not agree further apart. That's hard for me to watch.
Did you make this mess? Did I make this mess? No and no.
One of the first things I published after this mess was "I would not be using my influence to sway any opinions."
I realize you might view this as just another online flame war in a comment section on the internet somewhere. And to be fair, I know where you're coming from. When I feel like being real with people though, I don't need to go hide behind closed doors. Now, I'm not saying you want to hide and I can respect you'd be more comfortable speaking in person.
To me, this is speaking in person. I don't care if someone wants to come along and judge me in silence. People do that anyway, even if I don't talk. Walk down the street and someone doesn't like you because of your shirt. Whatever.
What more needs to be said? The real issue I have is stated at the beginning of this message. In my opinion, there's no argument there. You're not going to tell me you'd prefer to see this place ripped apart.
My previous post was a big long joke written only to make people happy. If I wrote how I truly feel, that would only bring others down. I've proven that today because I couldn't keep my mouth shut, but at the same time, what you were doing was beginning to frustrate me beyond my mental capacity. One can only bottle so much up. You need to know, included in my response to all this was the snowball effect. You just happened to be the one who got hit by the snowball. Plenty of others have been driving me mad. I come here for a good time. Now, suddenly, I can't even go anywhere without someone trying to convert me. I don't need to take sides in something where everyone shares a common goal. Everyone wants this mess fixed.
I don't like seeing people losing potential support due to beliefs either. I look forward to the day this is all behind us and we learn from it. Hopefully there's still a chance. A lot of people stepped away. I should have stepped away today.
