Yes exaggerations are common and sensationalism is scattered all over this post and the ones before it. I know folks use that to their advantage when publishing. It's not like it's a secret. It's intentional and when combined with the fact once a headline like that is shared, often the headline is the only part being read, then shared again.
People come and go when they lack fun or find technical hurdles too high, not so much because of gossip.
That's true.
I can't say I'm worried. Certainly not offended. I think I'm just a bit disappointed in how this is being handled. It's not really about finding solutions. If that was the case, it would have resolved a long time ago. Instead I just keep seeing more fuel being added to the fire, and more and more faces getting burned.
By the looks of things, people have even stepped up to help this guy and counter the downvotes, which is often the case if the community decides the downvotes are unwarranted. That's ignored? That happened to me a couple of times and all I could do was say thanks, and move on.
Over the years I've seen a lot of these cases, not always about the same things. And over the years I've seen people acting all defeated and talking about quitting, every day, for several days, weeks, even years. But they never actually go anywhere. Some types of people feel like they're suffering and want others to suffer with them. But it takes all types to make up a community.
I was once waiting for a bus in Edmonton. Said hello to a random dude. Instead of saying hello back he instantly started yelling at me about the New York Yankees. It went on for a half hour. I couldn't even get a word in. Bus comes, we both pick seats, I sit as far away as possible. He's still yelling at me.
But that's humanity. He was crazy but I was probably crazier for trying to hear him out.
