I think I read this from Seth Godin, or maybe Neil Gaiman, but a plumber doesn't have to feel like doing their job to do it and neither should a writer.

Whichever said it did expand on it to say that when you aren't in the zone, it may not be your best work, but the only way to be good at creative work is to do it.

I've been impressed with your consistency since I returned to the platform. I enjoy your style and your process. We see you experimenting and trying.

Around the stop and go, I am the same way, and I like it. The way I cope with that is decide how I judge success in a day. When I'm on I judge success about the volume that produce and its quality, when I start to burn up I pick that one thing that will move my project forward and have a successful day when I complete that. It should be a tiny thing.

If that's all I accomplish its a good day. When I start to recover I start to feel that's not enough and switch to the other way.

Sorry for the ramble.
