Hello World! As a content creator, we are all content creators because we add to social media, we should be more mindful of our posts. This weekend there were so many interesting memes that were reposted regarding Jay-Z and his cheating admission on Beyonce. Sure infidelity is a hot topic, especially for such high profile couple, but there were so many gems that were dropped in that interview that I do not want to go unnoticed.
Jay-Z sat down with Dean Baquet of the New York Times in September and did an interview that was condensed to 30 mins. In the interview he talked about OJ Simpson, being black in America, his healing he recently received thru therapy, his ownership of the lives he affected as a drug dealer, his relationship with Beyonce, and much more.
The biggest thing from this interview was NOT the fact that Jay-Z cheated on Beyonce. That was already determined in both their albums. For me it was his quote, "What you reveal you heal." I loved the fact that he revealed some of his truth in the interview and so much of it in his album. I was always taught that, "when you tell the truth you shame the Devil" and I often add "because if you don't, you'll end up shaming yourself." I love sharing my truth and I encourage more people to do the same. "Hurt people, hurt people." So, before we judge ourselves and others, I encourage us all to send a ton of love and light out instead.
