"God's Not Dead" Lecture Tour at Michigan State University
Science!
Last night I had the opportunity to attend the "God's Not Dead" lecture tour at Michigan State University. It was presented by the author of the book God's Not Dead, Dr. Rice Broocks and Dr. Eric Hedin. They went through the "scientific" reasons why God does not exist, then systematically proved them wrong. I truly enjoyed the chance to hear these speakers and the reasoning they have. It went a long way towards helping me to be able to defend my faith in God with logical reasons beyond simply stating how He has affected me in my own life.
How true is that?
Things To Think About...
One of the arguments that was brought up repeatedly was "How can there be a loving God if there is so much evil in the world?" The response to this is very simple and was stated very well by the presenters. If there is no God, there is no concept of evil to begin with! Simple right? Maybe as not as simple as I make it out to be, but it makes it easier to defend Christianity when you see it that way for sure!

Let Me Explain...
One of the presenters went on to explain how much money it would take to end world hunger and provide clean water to everyone on the planet. He then spoke about how much money is spent on weapons of war, and how hunger and clean water could easily be had if governments just chose to do so. He then explained how it is not "fair" to blame God for our failures, and boy was he right! Just like the Bible said, it is not God that is evil, but men's hearts...
