Going for a bike ride...

Yesterday I decided to go for a bike ride and enjoy the weather. I went to the Lansing "Riverwalk" because it is a paved path that goes throughout the city. There are a lot of parks and places to stop and relax as well. I stopped and took a few photos on the way, and figured I would share them with you guys!

Wynkin Blynkin and Nod...

This is the Lansing Michigan power station affectionately known as "Wynkin Blynkin and Nod." It was actually named by the community as a result of a newspaper poll when it was first built, and the name has stuck to this day!

Not Going that way!

As you can see we have had some heavy rain for the last few days and the river was too high to keep going on the river trail. Since I was not going to go this way, I decided to go another way...

The Moore's River Pool...

The way I decided to head home took me past the old "Moore's River Pool." As you can see it has not been used for many years and despite the call to rebuild it, likely it will never be used again. It is sad really and speaks to the decay of the city in general...

Did I say rain?

Like I said it has been raining a lot here for the last few days, and as you can see I got caught in it yesterday. It was still a good ride despite the rain, and it didn't last too long anyway. Eventually I made it home and all was well in the world. I hope you enjoy my little bike ride post as much as I enjoyed riding!

As Always, Thank You For Reading!
