Yes new people are key. Maybe the financial aspect of blogging isn‘t the right marketing approach for regular bloggers (especially with the low STEEM price and the complicated double-exchange). People might be interested by the stake-weighted voting (and downvoting) power which links time and effort invested with status and the possibility to reward (and punnish). This may resemble real life better, where people that are longer involved and/or are invested have a bigger say than those that are showing up randomly...
