This book has always opened my mind. Almost every time I come home, I always reread this book. I never get tired of reading this book. This book tells a lot about the author's thoughts. I thought, I saw the author in front of me. The book tells about the author's thoughts about marriage for young women in urban areas.

This woman decided not to marry. He calls himself "The Single Parasite". He had many reasons to live without getting married. This female character is described as a woman who is indifferent, resourceful but is actually very sensitive to the environment. The life around him makes him ask many questions with the life around him.

There are many questions from the author about sexuality. In addition to sexuality, the main character questions feminist and gender issues. Women become a dual role because of marriage. Between work and home. He compared life in Japan, where successful Japanese women choose not to marry. And live independently.

Until he grew up, he lived with his mother. In this condition, it is considered a parasite. For this woman, marriage and family were not easy matters. Marriage is a lifelong contract. Marriage is legal. But, most people just want to race on pure sexuality under marriage.

In some of the main character's sentences, the woman reveals that she has a boyfriend, but does not want to marry him. But in society, there are many questions about when to marry a single woman. In the book, the main character doesn't care about her virginity. He didn't care if he was old and unmarried, nor was he a virgin or not.

Currently in Indonesian society, the problem of virginity is still a problem. The author dares to ask the question, “If you get a woman who is still a virgin, what will you give to that woman? Your manhood cannot be seen."

Various stories in society are told by the author. For example, the problem of polygamy is considered a fair answer to an unfair social environment. In terms of sexuality, the author assumes that men cannot be great. But, a girl can turn a man into a mighty one.

The author refers to the main group of society where children out of wedlock are considered illegitimate. And abroad, there is no such thing as an illegitimate child. On the other hand, the author also thinks about having children. In several stories, the author has made it clear that he is neither anti-marriage nor anti-family. He also insists that the family is kind to other people. He hates those who make marriage the measure of human happiness.

"People can get married but don't have to," as the author puts it.

From this book I think rationally and do not hate marriage. The book tells a lot about work, friends and other facts that are found everyday. The view of marriage presented by the author is very interesting. Critical and very sharp. The reasons for not getting married are very clear. I read this book, read a lot of the author's thoughts about not getting married.

Marriage makes men superior beings. Thus, women become weak and dependent on men. For feminists, this is very sensitive. The language used in this book is easy to understand. Short, dense and clear. This is not a feminist mind because it helps bring out women's stories. Besides, this is one of the trilogy books. The first book is called The Single Parasite. Book two, Enrico's love story and the Story of an Ex-Single Parasite.
