I am gong to be brutally honest: I do go out and read about once a week that is not because i am a selfish asshole (thou i like portraying that image) it is simply because i am developing alone a huge thing, when i say alone, i mean i am surrounded by a wonderful team, but i am the only one actually producing code lines.
This might change soon as i recently started working with an off-the-chain programmer who seems to share my way of doing stuff.
In any case my outside my-blog-engagement happens specially from links i receive by my trusted team where they think my opinion or my bad temper should make a difference, I also read avidly any link that is trown at me after meaninful discussions like the one we had yesterday over skype, or like the one i had last night with @djennyfloro in your discord server.
One of the reasons is that i usually get in trouble by opening my big mouth and people is very sensitive so i usually reserve my strong opinions for when they can serve a purpose.
I.E:
I am an asperger and i am toxic around people not acting in an ethic and honest way, i am intolerant to abuse and injustice and sadly this is the norm in this blockchain.
So I really appreciate people engaging in my posts because it is either people that knows me and respects me, or people who knows the benefit of sharing toughts with me is worth the risk of one of my known trow-backs like the one i gave to thecryptodrive...
I never managed to obtain support from the stablished status quo guys because i can see trought their lies and can not shut my mouth and tell them what i think they are doing is dishonest and wrong.
You yourself had a little clash with me with the memo spam, but the more we talked the more it transpired that you were not ill intentioned, and you are not lying, yours is not a fake charity is a collaborative enterprise using the means at hand and that, i respect.
I have already read the post and i think what you are propossing can work, i also think that you need to be very clear and that you will face the selfishness of some who only see their benefits and post payouts.
I also think that you are under using your voting power or that you are using it in a very inefficient way.
I think the beneficiaries thing might become a big drawback for two reasons:
they take from the overall payout and most of your population needs to have the posts 50/50 It does not matter much now, but for some combinations of STEME and SBD prices it will hurt their own rewards as well as yours.
people like me that languish with my 0.20 selfvote will se a benefit, but people who is already getting big payouts will constantly bitch (see Taxes in the outside world... they are a % of your income, but the rich have bought politicians so they demonstrate that since the rich are richer they should pay less proportionally to the poor, efficiently fucking the proportional tax payment system)
And here is a strong opinion:
The ones telling you that they are already getting rewards and that 20% is too much, should go and F**K themselves, if people is not willing to put their share, or dont need your help, then they have nothing to do in your team...
You are proposing something that is a WIN/WIN for the small ones, you lack a model to reward those who put more skin in the game, but you also are not giving too much to anyone, so either people is approaching you to be part long term and participate giving for the WIN WIN part to happen or they are approaching you to suck from what scarce resources you have...
You will be surprised by the amount of vampires trying to live off this platform, and how they turn into bloodhounds the moment what you offer is not enough for them or their egos..
So to resume:
- use better and wisely that VP you are missing curation rewards that will allow you to grow faster.
I can hook you up with people working into analyzing and increasing their ROI, they will be pleased to setup something for you (_for a profit of course: but the profit will cost you basically nothing, actually you will end up voting with about 30 to 45 K SP more that is a WIN WIN in my book)
See my @reveur curation rewards that is the think tank where we are doing tests.
Your public and team will come and go, you seem to have very active Venezuelans, they seem to be the luck ones in zones with electricity and internet often. (take good care of them, rolling blackouts and copper wire theft left my project with 1 third of the work force and that was a big hit for productivity.)
You need to disclose what is your model to attract
- Good authors which already are getting rewards, they should apport proportionally in % but they should get some additional perk (That is fair, all give according to their means, those who bring more to the table get something additional, but not coming from the growth pool)
Investors... I know how you can get the use of my 24K SP, and i will propose that to you and as i told you above will not cost you a cent.
But what will you propose other big dolphins or small whales? You need a model for them to earn and keep interest and support, right now you are relaying into driving traffic to their interfaces, but that has a limit, you dont have the 14k Veneuzelans and the 20K nigerians we used to have in steemit... And also steekpeak is soo slick that they dont need much promotion, i dont know about steem leo.. it sounds like an italian pizza parlor and that is a marketing mistake, but in steem the weirdest things happen... Like it might become the next best interface i dont know. (do you have a link to their interface?)But you need more than deals with webpage makers to truly grow and sustain what you want to do.
See for example buildteam has used their shittoken to remunerate gullible programmers since before the steem engine hype (mini pyramid to keep the ponzy afloat) was a thing.
I think that now most of the good programmers are aware that it is better to work for money or a real crypto... And no matter how great your apport to their product base might be, you are as replaceable as a cheap Ikea chair.
I have a few other things i rather discuss with you in private.
cheers.
What those people are missing is notions on macro and micro economy (or are too cheap to try to use part of the millions they have sucked from the platform to keep their coin within a reasonable floating band and have actual developers over the long therm.
