A president is a person who has the highest executive in a country. The election of a president is indirect. He is elected by the elected members of the Houses in a country in india they are the lok sabha and the rajya sabha. The election is conducted by a single transferrable system which votes are expressed by the members and yhe preference of candidates in election.

The president in india has a tenure for five years but he can also be removed by the method of impeachment in which changes are made in one house of the parliament and are analysed in the other house of the parliament. Then the president is given fourteen days to explain his/her position . If the changes are approved by 2/3 of majority of the present members who has voting rights then the president has to vacate the office.
