I have been privileged to be part of the Newbie Initiative first edition in 2024. I really want to appreciate the effort of the organizers and to this end I have been saddled with the first task which I will discus below.
A man (male & female) without a goal is a man without focus which makes it extremely important for everyone to have a goal and that is why we tend to see organizations putting mission statement and vision statement so as to be able to craft out the goals that will help them to achieve both mission and vison statements
Goal setting is as important as the food we eat because it helps us to calculate logically the things needed in achieving our plans and sadly, it is in writing this post i tend to realize i have no goal in place to be successful on Hive but not anymore because this post seeks to help to do just that.
It is very imperative goals is put in place for this initiative because one will not be able to track his or her moves within the two months duration of the initiative so that it wont be at the end, one might think he or she had wasted her time or the organizers might not be able to track the extent that which they had affected lives positively.
A SMART goal is used to help guide the goal that has been set. SMART is an acronym that stands for Specific, Measurable, Achievable, Realistic, and Timely. Therefore, a SMART goal incorporates all of these criteria to help focus one's efforts and increase the chances of achieving one's goal.
My goal concerning Hive Power is to have 200HP at the end of this two months initiative duration and in achieving this is by posting quality contents at least one everyday, comments on people's posts daily at least five and participating in different contests in different communities on hive and on discord.
Everyone loves quality things and also people love people that add value to the society. This means that when people begin to see the value in my contents and the quality involved, they would be interested in following and also with my engagement in different communities, connecting with other hivers, our engagements is bound to increase but in other to make it measurable, my follower should exceed 200 followers.
Another goal i would love to set is at the end of this newbie initiative, i will be able to have the adequate knowledge and enough equipment in other to give back to the Hive Blockchain by bringing people in and eventually, a new community will be born.
The above goals are SMART because it brings to fore the elements of what SMART goals are such as the time attached to it for the delivery, with a logical duration it is realistic, it is achievable because i have counted the cost in terms of the effort needed, i am not just thinking about random things but i was specific by itemizing things to be achieved etc.
