**Christian, over at Mango, says it's time to spend a little money on improving Mango. He's about ready to build something new in the back, but no one, not even him, knows what yet.
Two things that he says he will be bringing back are excursions (at least 2 per month) and movie night. Both are things that was done before at Mango, briefly.
I never went on any of the few excursions they had, although I would have liked to. That was back when I was not getting as much money as I am now. Getting social security in addition to my military retirement pay is a big help. I don't even remember the places that they went, but they had a bus back then. The bus is no longer around, but I think enough guys here have vehicles that it should not be a problem.
As for movie night, well I was right in the middle of all that. I probably will be again. I was the one picking and playing the movies. Popcorn and drinks were sold. We were showing the movies upstairs and, according to Christian, that's where it will be again. I would show 2 movies each night, I think, starting around 6 pm. It was pretty cool up there when the windows were open. I think the air con was not big enough to handle the area. I'll talk to Christian about that and see about getting a more powerful a/c unit. I already know what movie I want to show first, but I'm not telling here, not right now. As for movie #2, I don't know yet. Still thinking on it. I'm thinking of taking suggestions from the movie goers. I can get probably almost any movie. I've got 100's and 100's of movies stored on my computer, maybe even 1000 movies.
I'm looking forward to these changes. It gives me something to do besides sit here at home on the computer. Not that I don't want to sit here, but sitting here night after night gets boring and I get zero exercise from it, except my fingers get lots of exercise. I hope the movie night starts this month. He's talking about an excursion also, but no plans made and no announcement about it made either. I'm going to help him along.**
Thanks for reading and I'll be sure to keep y'all up to date on these and any other projects that get started.

Howdy y’all. It’s me, ninong7 aka UJ aka John. Just a short intro about myself. I am a Texan that has retired in the Philippines. I moved to the Philippines with my wife back in May 2010. I am retired from the US Air Force. The music I like is mostly Classic Country and Classic Rock. I guess you could say that I am “Classic”. I play dominoes when I can find someone that will play, I play chess, cribbage, spades, hearts, Empire Builder, Rail Baron, Acquire and a few other games. I like to write poems and stories (although pretty novice) and I love learning about history, just about any history. I’m at home on my computer a lot but if I could afford to, I’d be traveling and documenting my travels to post in my blog. I hope to get to know a lot of you through PeakD and Discord.
