What happens to us when we die?
Paradise in Heaven or to Hell to fry?
Will our previous life warrant a new soul?
Or will we just die and lay in a hole?
Buddhists say there are beginnings but no end.
Rebirth depends on how your life had been.
Your spirit will seek a new life and body.
Six realms determine, hope you weren’t too naughty.
If you were good your status will be up.
If you were bad, maybe a rat, in a dump.
Hindus believe your soul will have rebirth.
First it leaves through your head and off this Earth.
It re-coops for a while then will continue.
A fresh soul ready for somebody new.
All the impurities no longer can we see.
With a new body the soul continues its journey.
Islam and Christians both seem the same.
They have similar beliefs, just use different names.
They both have a purgatory of sorts when you die.
Where judgment is given, and you cannot lie.
In Islam you are judged laying in your grave.
Christians in Heaven are judged on how they behaved.
Atheists believe that when you’re dead, you’re dead.
To believe otherwise, you’re crazy in the head.
According to them you get one chance to live.
You can choose to take, or you can choose to give.
There is no second or third time around.
There is no Heaven up and no Hell is down.
For me it doesn’t matter what they all say.
I just try to be good; it seems the best way.
I always try to follow the Golden Rule too.
Do unto others as you’d want them to do unto you.
Howdy y’all. It’s me, ninong7 aka UJ aka John. Just a short intro about myself. I am a Texan that has retired in the Philippines. I moved to the Philippines with my wife back in May 2010. I am retired from the US Air Force. The music I like is mostly Classic Country and Classic Rock. I guess you could say that I am “Classic”. I play dominoes when I can find someone that will play, I play chess, cribbage, spades, hearts, Empire Builder, Rail Baron, Acquire and a few other games. I like to write poems and stories (although pretty novice) and I love learning about history, just about any history. I’m at home on my computer a lot but if I could afford to, I’d be traveling and documenting my travels to post in my blog. I hope to get to know a lot of you through PeakD and Discord.
