Another season of Splinterlands ended a few days ago. The seasons always go by quickly, but this last season was literally shorter for some reason.
The new Wild/Modern format has been released for this season. I still have mixed feelings about it. The new system adds complexity to the battling system which I am not sure is a good thing. We now all have two ranking scores associated with us (a blue one and a purple one) instead of just one like before. I liked the background of the battling page better before this new update with the blue/purple backgrounds. A lot of new bots have been unleashed in the Wild format which I was not expecting. Some of these bots are easy to defeat, however others use Legendary summoners and are real beasts to win against.

I had a decent win/loss record last season. I decided to advance to Diamond League on the last day of the season, so I could get Diamond chests in my End of Season rewards at the end of this season.

The biggest highlight of the season was a chest in my End of Season rewards with around 8000 DEC.

The end of the SPS airdrop is quickly drawing near. After that we'll still be able to get some income from the SPS we have staked. I'm looking forward to eventually earning SPS through battling when that feature is rolled out.
