My New Year's Day has mostly been spent putting away Christmas decorations and cleaning.
I stayed up late last night on New Year’s Eve. By the time I woke up and turned on the TV this morning, the closing credits for the Tournament of Roses parade were rolling. Most of the college football bowl games seemed to have been put on cable so I could not watch most of those.
We now have a fresh whole year ahead of us which is a blank slate. I hope that the entire Hive community reaches new levels of success and adoption. The projects running on Hive have become increasingly diverse. We have all sorts of second layer tokens and communities. There are blockchain games and even DEFI on CubFinance.
We have numerous new exciting developments to look forward to. The first of which is a new NFT game Ragnarok. I do not know too much about the game yet other than the gameplay has been described as a combination of chess, Magic the Gathering, and poker. There is going to be an airdrop of game NFT’s for everyone owning Hive in proportion to how much Hive they are holding. The snapshot will occur in about 5 days, on January 6th.
Many new features in Splinterlands will likely be released this year. They include the land expansion as well as use cases for SPS such as P2E and governance.
I powered up close to 150 Hive today which is Hive Powerup day as is the first day of every month. This got me over 600 HP and I am now a minnow. Hopefully, in the coming year I will reach 1000 HP. I would actually like to get to 2000, but I do not want to create unreasonable expectations. So I will make 1000 my goal.
