Ninja is not the dog that likes to snuggle up to other dogs. When a dog comes too close he would get up and seek a different sleeping spot.
When we have a guest dog, as e.g. Nikhita Wolfspirit, we have 3 sleeping beds for the 2 dogs inside, plus one at the entrance away from the action if a dog wants to withdraw and one outside... so Nikhita could have chosen 4 spots away from Ninja, but chose to lay next to him.
Ninja who would usually prefer his own space did not mind having Nikhita close.
That is what I like on Ninja... Nikhita needed company - she missed her pack after all - and Ninja chose to put her needs over his own.
