One of the funnest parts about having a saltwater aquarium is going to the local aquatic small businesses and "sight-seeing" the various colorful setups. Note that it can take several years to fully establish a saltwater tank.
I spend hours looking at the live rock, coral and especially the amazing creatures dwelling in the warm waters of tanks at stores in my area.
Fish watching is both soothing and therapeutic. Maybe that is the reason you see so many saltwater aquariums in doctors' and dentists' offices!
Setting up and maintaining a saltwater tank is a tedious job that requires a lot of time, patience, and money. A single fish costs upward of $15 USD. There are no warranties given on fish, marine life, coral, etc. After you buy something, if it dies there's no exchange policy.
Taking photographs and videos, on the other hand, costs nothing!
