Built by the Lycians in 350 BC, on the site of the ancient Greek city of Telmessos,
modern day Fethiye in Turkey,
the tomb was named after the Greek inscription on the side which reads "Amyntas, son of Hermagios", it is one of the larger tombs with the interior as large as a full-sized temple,

Another example, another tomb carved in the mountain,
the Lycians were a confederation of city-states in southern Turkey from 1500 BC till Alexander the Great conquered the then under Persian rule Lycian city-states. The have left their typical rockgraves as a visible reminder of their culture, ready to be explored.
