After a long snowfall and strong winds, it finally cleared up a little and the sun even came out. I decided to check out the edge of the forest and see how the birds were there. I picked up some seeds and walked along the path. Although it was morning there were already many footprints on the path. Apparently people who missed walking went out early to breathe in the fresh frosty air.
Having reached almost the edge of the tree, I saw a small flock of birds on the tree, which were jumping on the branches of a tall tree and clinging with their paws to clusters of seeds on the branches. From a distance, I did not immediately see them. As I came closer, I couldn鈥檛 believe my eyes. These were long-tailed tits. I saw them for the first time. Until this moment I had never seen them before.
It was not a very large flock of six individuals. Most likely they migrated and came to us to eat, apparently getting hungry on the way. Apparently they really liked these seeds on the tree.
It鈥檚 a pity, of course, that they were very high and the tree grew on a hillock, so it was very difficult to get to them.
But still. I was very pleased to see these cute, beautiful birds. I hope that next time I will be able to see them again. I would really like to photograph them again.
I was very lucky that day. I poured the seeds into a nearby feeder. Perhaps these long-tailed tits will come to taste the seeds in this feeder.
