I was walking along a forest path. I go to her often. She walks along the edge of the forest along the river. The soil there is sandy and therefore you can often meet various birds here. This time I got a lone finch. He cheerfully galloped along the path and looked out for something all the time on the ground. I immediately stopped so as not to frighten him.

He found some kind of grain on the ground, grabbed it and began to look at me. He probably thought I could take him away from him. But he tried not to move, and so the finch quickly calmed down. Apparently he decided that I did not pose a danger to him.

He moved away from me a little and decided to eat his prey. I didn't bother him so I was afraid that he might fly away. Having eaten, the finch looked around and apparently he was hungry, so he again began to look for something on the ground.

He probably didn't want to leave this place. He seemed to be hoping to find more food for himself. So he began again carefully examining the grass and the ground.

The place seemed to be really good. Various insects and small worms hid in the sand.
The finch carefully examined everything and often scattered sand with its beak in those places where it hoped to find food for itself.

He moved away from me and I slowly followed him. I tried to walk very slowly so that the finch did not notice my movement. So I managed to take some photos of this finch.
