It didn't get much colder this morning. The weather is very comfortable. Decided to go to the distant forest while there is no heat. True, there was a strong wind, but in the forest it was felt weakly. I had just entered the forest when I heard a finch singing. I looked around and saw it right away.
He sat on a branch and brought out his trills. But as soon as I got closer to him, he immediately flew off the branch. He flew down and sat on the ground near a tree. He began to carefully examine the carcass of the tree.
He found something in the square and pulled it out. Apparently it was a larva or a small worm. Apparently he was quite hungry and began to examine the punishment further. Before that, I had never seen a finch move along the square of a vertical tree.
It was pretty funny to see. But apparently there was a lot of food so he did not fly away. Although usually finches look for food on the ground. But this time the finch decided to look for it in a new way.
Of course, this was not normal for him. But he was hungry and he continued to move up the square of the tree. I watched him with interest. I was also very interested. It was very original.
This year there are fewer birds in the forest. A new road was laid through the forest. Previously, there was just a road with poor asphalt pavement. But now they decided to build a two-lane road with a good asphalt surface.
But when they were building, they sawed trees to expand the roadbed. We drove tractors, rollers, dump trucks. They frightened birds and forest dwellers. They frightened the inhabitants of the forest, who fled to other places and further into the forest. But I hope that time will pass and they will return again.
