How odd! My conos are also doing weird things: going to sleep and waking up the instant it becomes cooler. The slight hairiness makes it M hahniana, I think. They are quite variable and some do have black tipped spines. Flower is correct too. That Tephrocactus is pretty but they are all invasive here the tephros have gorgeous flowers!
