Hello and welcome to another #SublimeSunday, a tag originally created by @c0ff33a! Today's #SublimeSunday post will be a little bit different than usual, but I hope you'll still enjoy it.
Ever since I can remember, Sunday's in my family were days for relaxation and my mom always made sure that no heavy work is done on this day, not even any kind of cleaning. It stuck with me even as an adult so I usually take Sunday's as reset days when I need it. I do like to start the reset with a clean space as it helps me to clear my mind so I would pick up and put away stuff if my space is a little bit messy but I would leave the actual cleaning for another day. :)
Spending time in our garden, sitting under the peach tree
Today I felt like I could really use a good reset mostly because it has been (and still will be) a stressful few weeks so before stress takes over completely, I thought I would do some of things I know always help me in situations like this. I also made a list of all the things I want to focus on for the next couple of weeks...
Morning routine - a have a very simple yet effective morning routine that makes me start my day on the right foot and even though I haven't completely fell off the track, I want to get back to it 100%
Staying hydrated - I go through periods of time when I am so good at making sure I drink enough water on daily basis but then I go through periods of time when I suck at keeping up with it
Spending more time outside - it's been way too long since I went for a long walk to the river and now is probably the time when I could benefit from it a lot so I'll try to go once a week and also just spend more time in our garden/backyard
Physical self care - a lot of time when I am going through a stressful period, I would completely neglect myself but I have been pretty good with doing small things that make me feel more put together - as simple as putting on a face mask or painting my nails
Journaling - it wouldn't be a reset type of post if I didn't mention journaling! Writing down my thoughts always helps me so much, it feels so liberating to dump all of your thoughts on paper and even writing this post has the same effect
'feel good' playlists/songs - there's nothing like a good song or, even better, playlist that can lift up my mood so quickly, that's why I always have my favorite songs ready to play
Less time on social media - I could really use another break from social media or at least spend less time on in as I recognize it to be my biggest time waster
Look at Bella just chilling with me in shade :)
