A combination of 2020. ending and 2021. beginning in photos. I am very curious to see if I'll be able to make these posts every Sunday for the rest of this year. That would mean I took at least one photo each day of 2021. I think it would be a nice collection of posts and photos to look back at.
Monday
One task that I volunteered to complete was going through some of these pumpkin seeds, peel them (or whatever you call taking out the seeds) so we can use them for bread making. All these are left from our garden so after some roasting in a pan, I got to my task while watching YouTube videos just so I don't get bored too fast. I barely made a dent but it was enough for few bread mixtures. I think I'll have to do another round tomorrow.
Tuesday
On Tuesday morning I got a message that my package arrived at our local post office so around 11am, after their brake, I went to pick it up. It's a Stray Kids album I won in a giveaway and I dedicated an entire post to that as I was very excited (still am). I'm glad they organized the giveaway before the New Year craziness - they shipped the package on Monday and the next day I got it which was really nice.
Wednesday
Look at this tiny egg we found on Wednesday! Every now and again we find an odd egg, fruit or veggie which is normal in homesteading world I suppose. The weird thing is we found the exact same egg two days after this one so I am guessing it's from the same chicken. We'll see if there will be more of them.
Thursday
Last day of 2020. and me sipping on some of my favorite blackberry wine while listening to music. I shared a post with more details on how I spent my day/night at home, welcoming 2021. To be honest, I don't think I would go anywhere even if things were 'normal'. Maybe I would go to daytime parties that became quite popular here - you pretty much 'go out' around noon or so and it ends around 5-6pm. I did this last year and then went home to homemade food, chill midnight countdown and decent bedtime.
Friday
First day of 2021. I went to check on the chickens and cats a little bit earlier than I usually do so I can feed and greet them with the fresh energy I felt as soon as 2020. was over. It was my way to wish them a Happy New Year, haha. As you can see Bella was all about cuddles, lately she comes to me for cuddles as soon as she sees me. It took me around 3 years of having her around our property to even touch her and now look at us. :) She's gonna have babies soon, if I'm not wrong and I'm very excited to meet them and hopefully be friends with them too.
Saturday
Yesterday my brother, niece, nephew and I drove to the nearby river and took a walk along the river path, surrounded by trees and pretty views. The weather is really nice here these couple of day, too nice for this time of the year. I'll share more photos from our walk tomorrow as I think they deserve a post on their own.
Sunday
Today I made stuffed mushrooms again as an addition to our lunch. We all love these and they are so easy to make. As always Sundays are super chill days, I just finished my second coffee and I'm going to practice Korean just a little bit and maybe make some flashcards using Anki and then I'll probably watch the Punisher as I only have few episodes left and it would be nice to finish it today.
I hope you're all enjoying your Sunday! Thank you for reading and take care! :)
