The Brandenburg Gate was constructed from 1789 - 1793 on the orders of Prussian King Frederick William II and designed by Carl Gotthard Langhans. Once there have been a total of 18 Gates, the Brandenburg Gate is the last one still standing :)
An absolute must see if you ever visit east Germany :)
