A Persistent Pain
I've had a literal pain in my neck and shoulder for over a week. Over time, the pain has dulled. It's really barely there at the moment but that may be the result of my medication.
I believe this pain in my physical body is a symptom of a spiritual ailment. I looked up the significance of pain in the neck and shoulders. Here's what http://www.insightstate.com/health/neck-pain-spiritual-meaning/ had to say:
The energy of the neck area is the energy of creativity, it expresses the power to create in the physical world...
This checks out. I've been very focused on creative work lately.
Any problem in this area corresponds to the fear of asking questions and expressing oneself, or a blockage of creativity...
Ok, maybe.
The shoulders have to do with literally not shouldering your responsibility. Shoulder pain represents our capacity to carry our experiences in life joyously. We choose to make life a burden by our attitude. The right shoulder is to do with guilt that is causing you to not take responsibility to gain for yourself from whatever you do.
I can relate this to my issue.
I already had the answer
I didn't need to google the spiritual root of my pain because I already knew where I've been out of alignment. I've been working on developing something, birthing an entity from what was just an idea a few years ago. I've been dedicated to this work and bringing it to life.
Then I set my baby aside and started to attend to the needs of others. I started saying yes to work requests for others. I didn't realize at the time that those yesses were saying no to my work.
The more yesses I gave, the stiffer my neck became. My body was telling me what I ignored from my emotional compass. My body told me, you're out of alignment. She said focus on your babies and your business. You can't add anything on right now.
I'm listening now. I've lightened my load. I've passed on additional work. I've turned my attention back to nurturing my business.
And I feel better!
I'd like to think that addressing the roots of my out-of-flow experience has helped to relieve some of the pain. Maybe the cannabis helped.
No Shade
There is no shade at all in this writing towards anyone who has offered me work. I am sincerely honored to be considered.
I struggle to maintain a "boss-mentality." I'm a great employee, often at the expense of my own interests. The more I develop as an entrepreneur, the more unemployable I become. I temporarily lost sight of the fact that my work, is my life's work. It's important that I make this contribution to the world in the way only I can.
So I must be more careful in how I invest my time and ideas. I can't justify allotting more time to others' business building than to my own.
