I broke my streak of posting daily and it was because I have a PROJECT. I had to do some things to take care of myself and my family yesterday but other than that my time has been going into my work on my Steem web app.

It's been fun to work on something I'm passionate about. I've put in a lot of time working on tweaking other people's work. This is not the best use of my time because I have a lot to learn. I'm leaning towards putting everything down and starting over from scratch.
I've been using @sambillingham's boilerplate and a purchased web template.
If I go that way, I will start with my mission and goals, then prototype on paper what I want the app to do. The video below shows the progress I made.
I'm still very excited and motivated. My problem is that I'm impatient. When I see a problem and a possible solution, I need it fixed by yesterday. I have to constantly remind myself to slow down and ground myself.
Why did I tag this post platforms?
My involvement with @platforms was a big part of why I chose to start this project. I joined to enter
@rishi556's steembasicincome contest. Once I was there and I started to understand what Platforms is all about, it didn't take long for me to think of how I can use their services. I came into this community as a startup founder. My mind has been in business-mode for the past year as I've been working to launch PopSchools.

I came to Steemit for the blogging. Being a part of the Platforms community opened my eyes to the many ways businesses can use this blockchain. I'm inspired by the ingenuity of the platforms clients. The guidance and support of the leadership team have been invaluable.
There's really something for everyone here if you care about the Steem community. If you like to write, you can be rewarded with PLATFORMS tokens (this means monthly dividends) and upvotes from the team when you promote Platforms. If you have a platform idea, you can use Platforms to make it a reality, without the pressure of handling ALL of it on your own.

If you just would like community, you can come in and chat.
You'll probably earn some shares in @steembasicincome if you're active on the server. There is no catch. There are real conversations happening, no mindless spamming. The people on the server are kind and patient with newbie questions. Any question I've asked about steem or steemit has been answered within minutes.
I'm posting for Platforms weekly
For the past two weeks, I've participated in the writing contest and I've won. There aren't enough entries so I think everyone who has made a contribution has won. It's worth it to join and try.
You get to be a platforms whale on the server when you hold 1000 PLATFORMS tokens.
There are perks!
There's an exclusive channel on the server with sneak peeks at the upcoming projects. This is in addition to the share of earnings you get for holding tokens. I don't know if the prizes will remain at this level, but I've earned 600 tokens for writing two bounty posts.
I can't overstate how much this community has taught me about all things Steem. Platforms was truly the catalyst for my growth here.
Bottom Line: Join Platforms, it's fun :) - https://discord.gg/Nmcz3dB
