It has not been an easy one in my area with the current weather condition. We are in the rainy season and since this very month (July) especially for the past four days it seems like the world is about to be destroyed again with rain馃槱
I can't help but pity my clothes that have been outside for the past four days, If I had an idea what the weather would be like these past days, I wouldn't have committed this blunder of piling up my dirty clothes not to talk of washing the very day I gathered enough muscle to wash. And to think that I worked with the google weather forecast to know what the weather would be like but unfortunately, got misled or probably misunderstood it.. so heartbreaking 馃槕
I usually get lazy with removing and spreading back my clothes when it comes with the drizzle kind of rain. But with the way it's been raining these few days, I wish it would only drizzle for a while and stop. Yea! I wouldn't mind going through all that stress at least my clothes could have been saved from the cold hands of the rain.
And as for going out, the drainage system in my area is very poor so It's been difficult for me these past days to step outside. Well, I knew my area will be these bad during rainy season, I had this in mind the very moment I packed to my new apartment so this was what I signed up for. Just a little downpour, everywhere becomes flooded and later on very muddy as a result of those who move with their cars or tricycles. And for those of us who move with our legs..hmmm! maximum carefulness must be applied while walking down the road... lest you fall馃槀
I stepped out on Saturday evening to go pick a delivery when the rain stopped a bit. Mehhn! I had to go pick up my Crocks slipon that I had abandoned for months so I could comfortably walk through the bad road without forgetting to apply the "look before you leap" kinda thinggg! The rainy season is really not a time for ajebo馃槀
You put your slay queen or fresh gurl life inside your pocket as long as you do not have a car or any other means that could prevent you from putting your legs into the dirty water.. Then you should get ready to walk in a certain kind of way that is different from your normal walk style or rock those rubber slippers that you can't wear to anywhere on a normal day.
Come to my area, somewhere in Ogun State and see for yourself, there's no how the rainy season will not surely humble you馃槀
Ohh! again! NEPA has refused to give us light for the past four days. I'm sure it's because of the rain cus there's this thing with Naija NEPA and rain.. As long as the wire or whatever has not dried it is believed that it will be dangerous to give light馃槄
Only God knows when we will have our light back cus it's been raining back to back in my area.
These are the major problems I've faced ever since this rainy season. And I'm pleading for it to stop already, at least for a day so things could be put in place for a bit.
I'm very sure it's been a difficult time for traders, drivers and for every other person who go out more often than I do. I just wish everyone finds a suitable way to manage the season.
But in as much as this season hasn't been that favorable, I believe it's been the best for some set of persons especially the farmers, who make good use of the rainy season to grow some crops. This is the best time to farm as the rainy season helps crops to do well.
I just wish everyone well during this season and most importantly wish that our health status will be in check admist all that the rainy season has caused us.
