I've never liked a WATER WELL all my life. I have great phobia for it especially when I mange to find myself 1meter close to it, I feel like something wants to drag me into it.lol

I have no idea why it's this bad..
Could it be that where I grew up, there was nothing as such as a WELL? or could it be because of the horrible stories I've heard about people falling into the WELL and getting drowned? I have no idea at all!

So I had my university education in Anambra State and it happens that in that land they usually have this issue of their borehole sumo drying up frequently. So because of this, every lodge usually have a standby WELL at the back of the building where students could get water from incase the sumo dries up.

When I first heard about the WELL after I got an accommodation in the lodge, I freaked out big time. Because of this, I bought a big buter for storing water so that whenever the sumo dries up I wouldn't have any reason whatsoever to go near the WELL. I was so happy I was able to come up with such an idea and it sure saved me from a lot of stress, especially those times when we had water scarcity in my lodge. I was living a baby girl life! hahaha 馃槄

Normally, after we're done with the scarcity of water ishh, I do not hesitate to refill the buter so as to get ready for the next water scarcity. But this time around I kept procrastinating till one day, our SUMO DRIED UP!馃槮
This was very far from water scarcity馃槴

Whattt? My fears happened!
Drawing water from the WELL is really a survival of the fittest something! You get to draw water for yourself and by yourself. No one even cares to go through that stress for another person except if you have a crush in the lodge that wants to help or someone that the Lord is using to help you馃槀

Well, I had a quite lucky days at the WELL where some guys offered to help me draw water but this very day I needed water so badly so I could meet up with my seminar supervisor's time in school. And so I went to the WELL to get water and there was no single soul there. I waited a bit to see if someone could show up, yet no one showed up.
So I decided to put my fears behind and try my luck. I noticed it wasn't the normal pouch bag for drawing water that was available.. It was a big iron bucket馃槱

Somehow I managed to gather courage and I began to draw water. I placed my left leg on the WELL slab and my right leg on the normal ground and made the first, second and the third draw which was a successful one. These three draws should have filled my bucket if only I filled the iron bucket to the brim while drawing water from the WELL but because I was drawing the water little by little as my strength could carry, I would have to draw for the fourth and even for the fifth time before my bucket could fill.

Drawing for the fourth time, I lost stamina and my left leg slipped from the WELL slab and BOOM!!! I found my self sitting on the WELL slab with my left leg inside the well and my right leg outside.. More like I was swinging.

The left side of my body was almost inside the WELL, thankful to God that my left hand sort of supported me because I used it to hold firmly to the iron mounted on the WELL cover.
And as for the iron bucket that I was using to draw, it scratched my left leg the moment my leg slipped off and gave me a sharp cut on my knee. At this point, someone came through and helped me get up and when I finally did, my whole body was full of pains, my left leg and my laps were badly bruised. I got across to my supervisor telling her that I had a domestic accident and fortunately for me, she had pity on me and rescheduled.

It was a painful period for me as my body was so full of pains for weeks. I blamed myself for procrastinating, If only I filled my buter the exact time I needed to, I wouldn't have had that bad experience at the WELL. I have never procrastinated since after that horrible incident and that was my own share of "Experience is the best teacher"
