Blogging on the Hive platform was never part of the plan for me in this year that is gradually winding off in few months.. I got to know about Hive around December last year from @ilhorgical my online friend. He told me all that I needed to know about the platform and also dropped a link for me to explore the platform myself.. I did and was also impressed with the activities going on there but at the same time, I was so scared that I might not be able to do it the exact way that other users do it to get such huge votes and lengthy comments on their post.. And then, I gave up! But with the constant reminder from my friend I decided to give it a try.

I joined Hive on the 12th of February 2022..You might be wondering why I still remember the exact day.. That's my birthday!☺️ That very day while meditating, I thought of how old I just clocked and the numerous urgent 2k's that I'll be needing to take care of my bills, I made this bold decision to join others to do what they are doing on the hive platform to pay their bills.

And after a day or two, I made my introductory post... The vote I received was quite encouraging .. This was part of the goals I had in mind when I first joined..To make quality contents that would attract some high votes so I could build my hive power and reputation😜

And after 7 days, my introductory post expired. I made another post which got me a $0 vote.. It continued like this for several other posts that I made and this made me to almost give up until my hive savior @gonehive found me☺️
After much conversations with him online concerning hive, I understood the need to have other important things in mind aside getting the juicy votes on my post. And so, I made some concrete plans that I've being so intentional with and this has kept me going all these while.

MY HIVE GOALS AND HOW FAR I'VE GONE

Just like I said earlier, making quality contents that would attract good votes that would help me build my hive power and reputation was the first plan I had in mind.. Not also forgetting to earn from hive as well😜
I started off with this in mind and I must say I've improved in my writing abilities. Sometimes when I go back to my previous contents and compare it to now, I see a huge difference. Creating original interesting contents without having to copy from anyone is a dream come true and I'm glad I was able to achieve that here with constant personal practices also from the constant guide I get from a few hive mentors that I have here .. I hope to get more better before the end of the year🤓

I also had the plans of being active and known in at least three communities before I become a year old on hive.. I thought about how to make this a success considering that I was a newbie then, and participating in contests going on in any community I find interesting came to mind.. @hivelearners and @hiveopenmic community came through for me🥳 It's been going on well with these communities.. They never give up with introducing new contest topics each week and I can say to an extent I've been very active and also my presence have been felt in these communities. I will be nothing on hive without these two amazing communities🥰 I hope to meet up with another community soon.. I'm working on it already and hopefully before the end of the year this will be a done deal🎯

Also, I made a rule of no power down for myself when I first started after much research about the hive coin. I saw the need for long term holdings for this very coin and because I wish to build my account so as to have a high voting strength inorder to vote other user's contents that I may find interesting, I have kept to my rules all these while.. I got tempted once when I was badly in need of money but I overcame😅
I will be 10 months old by the end of the year, I hope to have a total of 500 hive power and above.. It will mean a whole lot to me if my target is reached.

And as for my reputation, it's quite on track.. I never thought I would come this far as regards to my reputation.. I had this mindset that it would take me a whole year and few months to get here due to how I work here I work when I have strength😅
But look how far I've come! I'm working towards having a reputation of 65 and above before the end of the year..

I'm 8 months already.. wow! I didn't even realize that if not for this amazing contest. Looking back, I'm glad I'm still on track with my hive goals.. I'm glad I've come this far despite how impossible it looked and I'm also glad I've not given up! All thanks to my humble self☺️
