Pi in ancient India

Pi is the numerical value of the ratio of the circumference of a circle to its diameter (approx 3.14159).

Every household had to have 3 altars: a circle, a semi-circle & a square, to perform rituals.

The constraint was that all the three altars had to have the same area.

This led to the development of the concept of Pi in ancient India.

Do the Rig Vedas also record the value of pi?
