On one of my recent @Steemit posts, @ebryans had very strong & passionate opinions which differed from mine. Consequently, we had a very robust conversation. As what normally happens in these situations, Edward Bryans held on to his position & I advocated/defended mine.

Through all this, Edward Bryans reached out to me through Facebook Messenger to find out if all was well with me. He was transparent enough to permit me to share the details of his chat on Steemit, if I so chose to.

      Edward Bryans was interested in me as a person, 
             more than winning an argument 
             or the righteousness of his position. 
      I doff my hat to you, sir.

The key to success on Steemit is to contribute to building the community by reaching out to fellow Steemians with a sincere intention to build them up.

I have been pleasantly surprised by the generosity of encouragement of @papa-pepper & @goldmatters. My apologies to those, I may have missed out on mentioning.

        A points to ponder when we assess our behaviour on Steemit:
          * Do the people of Steemit matter more than my opinion?
          * Will this action contribute, in the long run, to building the community?
          * Am I shortsightedly chasing upvotes & whales more
                      than the minnows that follow me?
          * Am I the person that I myself would like to have as a friend?

One of the core objectives that Ned Scott & Dan Larimer have for @steemit is to compensate users on the Steemit network for their participation in the network, be they content producers or content curators.

A social network is a social community.

The health of a community is based on the mutual respect that its members have for each other.

The more the more influential members of the Steemit community, (not only @dantheman @ned @clains @blocktrade & @ben) seek to build up other less influential & less powerful members, the more the Steemit community will flourish.

Mutual repect prevents a person or group acting in concert to begin to dominate an open social network.

The quicker the integrity of the human, people component of the Steemit network mirrors the robustness of the Steem blockchain, the faster the digital currency can be bootstrapped.

The real money isn’t in blogging, content generation, or voting. The real money is found in bootstrapping a digital currency. A currency owned and operated in a decentralized way by ordinary people.
