For an artist, the choice of the medium where he/she will capture his/her art can often come from an unconscious need, a voice inside us that guides us to choose both the theme of our work and the medium where we will capture it: it can be canvas, wood, textured paper, tree bark, even the body itself...
Hello, friends of Hive! I hope you are very well, for my part, I am happy with my most recent work, I feel that I achieved a good finish and retake a technique that I had a little aside: painting. I consider myself a multifaceted artist, there is no style or technique that I like more than another, I always try to explore and learn new things in relation to art.
Well, today I'm sharing with you a body painting I've done using as a guinea pig... uh, I mean, as a canvas, hahahahahah, my brother's back.
What led me to paint this subject? Honestly, I don't know, I didn't have a clear idea of what I wanted to do, I just let the ideas flow and guide the brush to do its magic.
Human anatomy is one of my favorite subjects to draw; cacti are one of my favorite plants, so joining these two elements to the work resulted in the skull acting as a pot for the cacti, and the deep blue background gives the idea of an almost spatial atmosphere.
Here is the step by step:

As much as I love body painting, it's painful that the works are not perennial, hahahaha. Anyway, it's an ephemeral type of art, that's one of the things that characterizes it the most.
What do you think? If you have any doubts or advice for me, don't hesitate to leave it in the comments, I love to know what you think.
