Founded in 1913, the museum houses an impressive collection of Cuban and international art, ranging from antiquity to contemporaneity. As soon as you enter you find a famous stained glass window that I would say steals all the attention of this museum. This building was originally the headquarters of the Asturian Center of Havana, a cultural and charitable society of Asturian immigrants in Cuba. Among the most outstanding pieces are classic Greek and Roman sculptures, Renaissance and Baroque paintings, as well as works by European masters such as El Greco, Rubens, Goya, and impressionist artists such as Monet and Renoir. African, Asian and Latin American works of art can also be found, which offers visitors a global view of the history of art.
