Without a doubt, family reunions are the best thing in the world ... but unfortunately it does not happen very often, today I want to show you an unforgettable memory of a very special trip.
My longest-lived mother’s family lives in Minas de Matahambre, yes, as its name suggests many years ago, there was a copper mine that gave sustenance to all that town, and it is located in the province of Pinar del Río.
With the arrival of my uncle from the United States we decided to tell our family and pay him a visit, when we arrived, by the way a very long and tired trip, all my mom’s uncles were waiting for us, it gave me a lot of joy to see them after so long, they were looking at us with something very typical of Cuba, a roasted pig with banana leaves.
Family is the best, and even more so when they give you everything they have with the greatest love in the world. That day we laughed, cried, ate until we couldn’t do it anymore because country food is the tastiest thing there is and we made a lot of stories.
